Pew Poll Finds Trust Of Government At Historic Low

A bad economy. Brewing discontent. Partisan rancor. Hatred of Congress and elected officials. All of these factors have created the "perfect storm" for epic levels of government distrust, according to the latest Pew Research

The news is music to Republicans' ears — as long as Republicans take notice.
Rather than an activist government to deal with the nation's top problems, the public now wants government reformed and growing numbers want its power curtailed.
Nearly every Republican speaker I've heard over the last six months has expressed some desire to return to a system of more limited government powers. If those Republicans put their money where their mouth is — and listen to tea party activists — America seems ready to follow them.
