Bloomberg Follows Al Gore-Style "Do as I say, not as I do," Environmental Policies

New York Mayor Bloomberg had announced that he wants to bring New York City's carbon count down by 30% before the year 2030, and that he's considering increasing tolls for New York drivers to further that goal. Perhaps that's why he's so chagrined at leaving his SUV's idling while he roams around the city.

Unlike the famously hypocritical environmentalist Al Gore, however, Bloomberg has apologized, and is taking proactive steps to remedy the error of his ways.

"The mayor's cars should set an example," he said on his weekly WOR Radio show, after ordering his drivers to stop idling.
