Ivanka Trump To Get Space In White House Typically Reserved For The First Lady

In a move that is honestly not surprising to anyone who has been following her moves within Trump’s orbit, daughter Ivanka Trump is reportedly getting an office in the White House that is usually reserved for the First Lady – Melania Trump in this case.

No one knows yet what her official role will be – if any.

This will undoubtably grow speculation that Ivanka will be an extremely influential figure to her father while he serves as president of the United States. The New York Times openly wondered that she may be the most powerful first daughter in American history.

This is happening as Melania Trump has decided to stay in New York City while her son, Barron, finishes the school year. Given her lack of interest in public interviews and appearances, Melania is not expected to play a huge public role in Trump’s White House.

Ivanka’s influence may come with some concern to conservatives in the energy sector. Ivanka is considered to hold environmental issues most important to her and she wants to use her power as first daughter to make changes. She recently met with Al Gore to discuss climate change and other environmental concerns.

The first daughter could also be part of a duo when it comes to having the 45th president’s ear. Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, is also very influential to Donald Trump. So much so, many pundits believed Kushner’s bad relationship with Chris Christie was the reason the New Jersey governor was let go as head of Trump’s transition team.
