Video: RNC Embraces Romney, Mocks Obama

Santorum's out, Newt is suspending his campaign next week, and Mitt Romney has all but declared victory in the GOP nominating contest.  The Republican National Committee seems to agree that this thing is over.  Its new chairman, Reince Priebus, has labeled the former Massachusetts Governor the party's "presumptive nominee," and its communications shop has already produced a web ad pitting Romney against President Obama:

The spot is a light-hearted juxtaposition between Romney's serious speech last night and President Obama's appearance on Jimmy Fallon's late night NBC show, during which he and The One "slow jammed" the news.  Fallon tried his best to out-sycophant Rolling Stone, but failed -- mostly because the bit wasn't especially funny.  I actually don't have any problem with Obama doing Fallon's show, and conservatives who bluster over it risk coming across as killjoy fuddy-duddies.  Then again, Romney certainly looked more presidential last night.  But there's good news in all of this for Team Obama: Millions of the young voters Democrats are trying to re-energize were able to stay up to watch the 12:30am comedy program because they don't have to worry about being late for work in the morning.  Thanks, President Obama!

UPDATE - The RNC has also just filed a complaint with the GAO over President Obama's "non-political" electioneering for which been billing taxpayers over the last several months.  It's gotten absurd, so it's about time.
