The point is this: Like Wallace's "flake" comment, we are often tempted to say things that are harsh, inappropriate, or ill-timed but we restrain ourselves because it would be indecent to express everything that comes into our heads.

Ricky Bobby is an idiot (played by Will Farrell). I don't think Mr. Todd would be so quick to say Obama reminds him of a moronic movie character. Do you? Furthermore, I don't think Mr. Wallace would be so quick to ask a man running for President, like Herman Cain, if he is a flake.

The no holds barred media train is now running on two tracks: Palin and Bachmann's. Why the all out and unapologetic hog pile on only these two politicians?
