Follow Up on Obama's Attack on Special Needs Children

Obama's Primary Target: Sarah Palin? Republicans?

This is utterly wrong in so many ways. Greg Hengler has the video here so you can see it. I know the trolls and ObamaBots will come out and defend him, because in their eyes this guy's words never matter. His deeds don't either, to these people who drink the kool-aid.

However, to most Americans in this country, to compare his inability to bowl a good score to that of being akin to "Special Olympics" hurts so many people in this country. Who is the most well known person in politics right now with a special needs child: Sarah Palin. He can not just blow this off as a little joke when he just came off of months battling her and knowing she got under his skin.

Simply put, Mr. President, words have meaning! The Left in America love to use little things that are even inflammatory to criticize people on the right. Remember the made up controversy of how President Bush described Barack Obama:

From Daniel T. Zanoza with FreeRepublic.com back in Febraury of '07:

In an interview on the FOX News Network's "Your World with Neil Cavuto," the program's host asked President Bush what he thought of Illinois' junior Senator Barack Obama. Bush replied by saying, "He hasn't gotten elected yet. He hasn't even gotten the party's nomination. He's an attractive guy. He's articulate."

Dick Morris was attacked for using the word "retarded" in an interview and actor John McGinley contacted Bill O'Reilly regarding the use of the word during his show. Will Mr. McGinley come out publicly and ask for an apology from his fellow liberal Barack Obama? At least Bill O'Reilly took Dick Morris to task for his words (

about 2:50 into the video).

It's also known that National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Pete Sessions' (R-TX) son Alex has down syndrome...was this an attack on one of the most powerful members of the Republican Caucus? Perhaps it was an insult to Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the 39-year-old Washington state Republican whose baby has down syndrome?  Perhaps it was an insult to Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.), who has a 38-year-old daughter with Down syndrome?

Understand that Sessions, McMorris Rodgers and Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) launched the Congressional Down Syndrome Caucus last May. Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), who hails from perhaps the most noted family of special needs advocates in the country, is also a founding member of the caucus, which aims to educate Members about the disability and push meaningful legislation.

The left is quick to pull the trigger on "professional protests" whenever a member of the right says something, will they be as quick to criticize The One? My guess is no.

UPDATE:

For those that want to attack me for pointing out Obama attacked the special needs children of this country, this is from Jake Tapper of ABC News:

President Obama Jokes About Being a Bad Bowler: 'It's Like the Special Olympics'*

March 19, 2009 8:56 PM

The first appearance by a sitting president on "The Tonight Show" may well end up being the last.

President Obama, in his taping with Jay Leno Thursday afternoon, attempted to yuk it up with the funnyman, and ended up insulting the disabled.

UPDATE 2:

I've been asked to take this post down by one of the commenters on the post, here's my response. I'll take this down when Barack Obama flies to Dallas and personally apologies to Alex Sessions and then flies to Alaska (and all on his own dime, reimbursing the Tax Payers with a check donated to the Special Olympics matching that amount) to apologize to Trig Palin. He does that, and i'll pull it. Deal?
