We knew cable news personalities were going to have a bad day. Special counsel Robert Mueller had already concluded in his report that President Trump did not collude with Russia, but on Thursday we officially got it in writing. No matter how many times Attorney General Barr emphasized Mueller's conclusion - again, that President Trump did not collude with Russia - CNN and MSNBC still suggested we're not hearing the whole story.

While Trump did not intentionally conspire with the Kremlin, there's potential he "unwittingly" colluded, according to former Bush White House official-turned MSNBC analyst Nicole Wallace, who was reportedly quoting former CIA Director John Brennan.

"If there is even a reference to the Trump campaign unwittingly aiding the Russian effort to interfere, that should be the banner headline," Wallace said, again presumably quoting Brennan.

I'm not sure we should take anything Brennan says as fact, considering he has questioned the president's mental fitness, while peddling the misleading Russian collusion narrative for months. When his narrative was finally exposed, he claimed he had acted off bad information.

By the way, judge for yourselves but Wallace may have topped her earlier take with this.

In fact, Rutz composed a whole thread of entertaining media responses today, so if you don't have any afternoon plans, take a look!
