"Dangerous": Biden Criticizes Netanyahu's Leadership Just Hours After Bus Attack

Israel is hurting after terrorists bombed a bus in Jerusalem Monday and injured 21 people. No group has yet claimed responsibility, but Hamas callously celebrated the attack.

That very night, Vice President Joe Biden felt it right to lecture Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his inability to make progress on a two-state solution with Palestine.

Biden, who did acknowledge the bus bombing and condemned terrorists as “misguided cowards,” told a group of liberal Jews that Netanyahu has done nothing to promote peace in the region.

“I firmly believe that the action Israel’s government has taken over the past several years – the steady and systematic expansion of settlements, the legalization of outposts, land seizures – they’re moving us, and more important, they’re moving Israel, in the wrong direction,” the vice president said.

“They’re moving us toward a one-state reality, and that reality is dangerous,” Mr. Biden said.

The vice president has the right to voice his opinion of Israel’s leader, but was this really the best time - when Israelis were still trying to wrap their heads around a shocking attack and wondering if anyone would be carried home in body bags?

Biden’s comments again mark the Obama administration’s hostile relationship with Israel. While President Obama insists he has Israel’s back, his tense meetings with Netanyahu suggest he’s not sincere. Last month, the president complained to The Atlantic how Netanyahu tried to talk down to him when he visited the White House.

Netanyahu spoke in front of the Syrian border on Sunday ahead of a cabinet meeting, insisting Israel will not give up possession of the Golan Heights. To do so, he argued, would pave the way for terrorism to thrive in the region.

Does that sound like a "dangerous" position?
