Greta Van Susteren Out At MSNBC

Greta Van Susteren is out at MSNBC, less than six months after joining the network in January. She hosted For The Record at 6 p.m. each weeknight.

Van Susteren announced her departure on Twitter, in a somewhat oddly-worded tweet that had some people questioning if she had possibly been hacked.

However, the news was quickly confirmed by Vanity Fair, who said that her final show had aired on Wednesday. Vanity Fair also broke that her timeslot will be filled by Ari Melber. Melber is MSNBC's Chief Legal Correspondent. Per Vanity Fair, Van Susteren had not garnered significant ratings and her show did not do as well as hoped.

Van Susteren was previously employed at Fox News, and left that network in September 2016 after 14 years. On Fox, Van Susteren hosted the show "On The Record."
