Gingrich is a member of the choir at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the largest Catholic church in North America. Along with her husband, she produced the documentary "Nine Days That Changed The World," about St. Pope John Paul II's visit to Poland in 1979. Until 2007, she was a chief clerk at the House Committee on Agriculture.
President Donald Trump will be visiting the Vatican later this month as part of his first foreign trip.
Meanwhile, Townhall Media made jokes about Hot Air's Ed Morrisey's unsucessful "campaign" to be named Vatican ambassador.
This....is quite disappointing. Should have been @EdMorrissey https://t.co/2YUnUntLxT

I suppose if we couldn't get @EdMorrissey it's a pretty good second choice. https://t.co/NCDi976LCH
