Trump To "Renegotiate," Not Terminate, NAFTA

Perhaps NAFTA is here to stay after all.

Matt wrote earlier about how President Trump was reportedly getting ready to withdraw the United States from NAFTA, the free trade agreement established in 1994. Now, it appears as though this will not be the case. According to the Associated Press, Trump had called the leaders of Canada and Mexico and has offered to renegotiate the agreement rather than terminate it.

In a statement, Trump said that he feels renegotiating NAFTA will make all three countries stronger.
