Oh, Good: HBO is Making A Miniseries About The 2016 Election

In case you didn't get enough of the 18 months of hell that was the 2016 election, HBO has you covered: They'll be making a miniseries about the whole thing. Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, the authors of the book "Game Change" and its sequel "Double Down: Game Change 2012" will be back for round three, and HBO will bring the book to the small screen.

While I'm sure this will be well done, personally, I'm all set. I don't need to relive the last two years of my life--once was more than enough. Unless there's some sort of crazy insider info (like a confirmation of Hillary Clinton's rumored election-night meltdown), I don't think people are going to be too excited to re-watch one of the more polarizing periods of American history.

But who knows--I could be wrong. Maybe it'll be amazing.

But just in case, here's a list of five things that I'd rather watch than a miniseries about the 2016 election:

1. Season 3, Episode 14 of Scrubs.

Yup. The one with the saddest twist ever at the end...is still preferable to watching the Iowa caucuses.

2. An infinite loop of the Futurama scene where Seymour waits for Fry until he dies.

Still not as painful as Jeb Bush's "please clap."

3. The movie Dinosaur.

This film gave me panic attacks so badly as a child that I couldn't actually watch the preview clip that I embedded in this piece. I would still rather watch this movie than re-live Ted Cruz picking Carly Fiorina as his running mate.

4. The episode of Glee where they memorialize the real-life death of Cory Monteith.

Confession: I've never actually watched this episode because I know it'll make me too sad. However, when given the choice to watch this, or to watch Hillary Clinton screech about why she's not 50 points ahead...pass the tissues please.

5. Girls.

Even nude Lena Dunham is preferable to reliving #NeverTrump.
