As of Wednesday, New Hampshire has joined fellow New England states Maine and Vermont as a "Constitutional carry" state. This means that a person who legally possesses a firearm is able to carry that firearm legally, concealed or openly, without a permit.

The new rules go into effect immediately.
There are now 12 states with permitless carry laws on the books.
