Here's Dr. Jill Stein's Running Mate

Dr. Jill Stein, who is the presumptive Green Party nominee for president, has named her running mate: Ajamu Bakara, a human rights scholar and activist. The Green Party will formally nominate Stein for president at their convention this weekend in Houston.

"Ajamu Baraka is a powerful, eloquent spokesperson for the transformative, radical agenda whose time has come -- an agenda of economic, social, racial, gender, climate, indigenous and immigrant justice," Stein said in a statement Tuesday. "Ajamu's life's work has embodied the immortal words of Dr. Martin Luther King: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

Stein is currently polling at between five and three percent. She was also the Green Party nominee for president in the 2012 election. She received 0.36 percent of the popular vote in 2012, but is expected to woo many disillusioned Bernie Sanders supporters to the Green Party this time around.
