In a very tight race in Massachusetts, Hillary Clinton eventually emerged victorious over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to claim her first victory in New England. Clinton had been destroyed in both New Hampshire and Vermont's primaries, but squeaked to a two-point victory over Sanders in the Bay State.

Clinton also scored Super Tuesday victories in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Virginia, and Arkansas.
