Serial Season Two, Featuring Bowe Bergdahl, Just Launched

Today, avid fans of the smash-hit podcast Serial were surprised when the first episode of season two, which dives into the case behind Bowe Bergdahl, was released overnight with no warning.

At the time of publication, #Serial was the number two trend on Twitter for the United States. Needless to say, fans of the podcast were pretty stoked that it had returned.

Last year, the world was taken by storm by Serial, a podcast that dove into questions regarding the possible innocence of a Maryland man convicted of murder in 2000. The podcast was a major hit, and it was announced in September that the upcoming season would focus on Bowe Bergdahl.

Bergdahl, who is now facing charges of desertion, was held by the Taliban until May 2014. Shortly after his release, which was celebrated in the Rose Garden, allegations that he had actually left his base on his own accord began flying around. He was charged with desertion in March 2015.
