Afghan Standoff

Afghan Standoff
By now, you've heard about the controversial Rolling Stone article about Gen. McChrystal that includes much criticism of the Obama administration from the general himself.

The debate should not be about the appropriateness of the general's comments to Rolling Stone -- I think we can all agree that they were not appropriate for the commanding general in Afghanistan. According to my many friends and family members in the military (every military person I've ever known, for that matter) the many military experts on TV, that's a big no-no.

The debate coming from the Rolling Stone piece should be about the validity of the comments.

But that's not the point of this blog post. The real point is: "Where have the rest of the media been?"

We covered the "Afghan Standoff" between Obama and McChrystal more more than 6 months ago on the cover of the December 2009 issue of Townhall.

Here's the cover. We'll post the whole piece later today. Don't miss it.

UPDATE: The December 2009 cover story is now posted. Check it out here.
