A Triumph for Condoleezza Rice

A Triumph for Condoleezza Rice
That was one of the best speeches I have ever heard at a Republican convention.  From her invocation of 9/11, to her dismissal of the politics of division and envy, to her identification of school choice as "the civil rights issue of our time" to her conclusion about Romney/Ryan and America's place in the world, Secretary Rice really knocked it out of the park.  There were so many great quotes -- coming in such rapid succession -- that it was impossible to keep track of them all.

If I were a Democrat, I would hope against hope that no "persuadables" were hearing Secretsry Rice's address, or witness the "racist" Republicans offering a standing ovation to the woman who identified herself as a child of the segregated south who rose to become Secretary of State.

In history and in attitude, Secretary Rice is a glowing example of the Republican ethic and the American dream.
