Lots O'"Hostage" Talk

In his weird Tuesday press conference, President Obama called the Republicans "hostage takers" because of their insistence that taxes not be raised on anyone.

Amazingly, some House Democrats are refusing to back the deal, happily putting themselves in a position for being responsible for millions of Americans getting a huge tax hike next year -- with resulting harm to the US economy.  But a few Dems have a clue about how crazy the left is being.  DEMOCRAT congressmen David Boren noted:

"A clear majority of the U.S. House of Representatives supports this plan.  We are allowing the liberal wing of the Democratic Caucus to hold these critically needed tax cuts hostage."

There's a lot of hostage-taking talk.  But the difference between Boren and Obama is that Boren is using the term to take on his party in the interest of helping the economy.  Obama is using it to denigrate the people with whom he is going to have to do business for the next two years.

With Boren, it's straight talk.  With Obama, it's whiny excuse-making.

It's an interesting contrast in style and leadership, isn't it?
