Message Received

Only a day after stern warnings from President Obama, President Sarkozy and Prime Minister Brown, it's being reported that Iran intends to conduct "missile war games" beginning tomorrow
.

Obviously, Iran has gotten Obama's message loud and clear.  Whatever stern rhetoric the President may offer, Ahmadinejad understands that Obama lacks the commitment -- and, frankly, the requisite confidence in the rightness of America's cause -- to ensure that Iran's nuclear ambitions are thwarted.

Given all this, Ahmadinejad knows he can thumb his nose at the "world community" with impunity, and with these "war games," that's just what he is doing.
