When the Government's In Charge . . .

Earlier this week, railing against those who oppose single payer or a government option, Rachel Maddow pointed out the VA as a shining example of what "government run" entities could achieve.

Perhaps she'll want to think twice -- not just because of the Walter Reed scandal, now conveniently forgotten --  but also given this new report from CBS detailing a host of abuses on the part of VA employees, including questionable bonuses, nepotism and an inappropriate relationship.  

Now tell  me why, again, government-run institutions are so preferable to the private sector?  When House Democrats finish trying to intimidate private insurance companies with the threat of "investigations," perhaps they'll find the time to look into this.
