Who ARE These People?

George Stephanopoulos writes that John Edwards staffers had a "doomsday" strategy -- planning to leak news of Edwards' affair if it looked like his campaign was starting to gain ground.

So help me get this straight. These folks were willing to help Edwards lie to Democrats and, more broadly, the American people. They were willing to cash a paycheck from and work on behalf of a man they must have despised, and whom they would have sabotaged if the need had arisen.

Who are these people?

And just think, had they had a little more integrity, that Hillary Clinton might have won the Iowa caucuses, and long-shot Barack Obama might never have gained traction.
