A Word to Catholic Democrats

The prefect of the Vatican’s Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature -- the Vatican's highest court -- has said that the Democrat Party risks "transforming itself definitively into a party of death. . ."

because of its stance on abortion and bioethical issues.

I've heard some on the left dismiss such comments in the past because they're from Vatican denizens who seem to have little familiarity with modern American life. But this one comes from the former Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis, himself an American.

It's hard to figure out how Catholics can ignore such warnings and still remain Catholics in good standing, isn't it?
