Obama Attacks Abortion Survivor

With this ad, Gianna Jessen launched a broadside against Barack Obama's repeated opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois (my column laying out the whole sordid history is

here).  It's not surprising she'd object to his stance -- Jessen herself is the survivor of a botched abortion attempt.

Barack's ad attacking Jessen (and inaccurately blaming John McCain for the ad) is here.  He argues that his votes against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act are being "taken out of context."

But here's the tip of the iceberg, quick and easy:  After the US Senate passed a bill protecting babies born alive as a result of botched abortions -- with even people like Barbara Boxer and Teddy Kennedy voting in support -- the same bill went back to Barack's committee in the Illinois Senate.  He voted against it.

The wording was identical.  Here's the side-by-side comparison of the federal and Illinois bills.  See for yourself.

And then decide whether Barack's attacks on abortion survivor Gianna Jessen have merit.
