It's "Governor Palin" to You, Senator Obama

Amanda, to answer your question:  No doubt Barack should be referring to and/or addressing Governor Palin  as "Governor Palin."  That's her title, and any other approach would be a slight.

It will be interesting to see if he tries "Mrs. Palin" or even "Sarah" (I'm not opposed to first names in appropriate circumstances, but hey, he hasn't even met her!).

If he calls her "sweetie" (as he's wont to do, and as has happened to me several times in my career), I recommend she respond by simply referring to him as "stud muffin."  That usually takes care of that.
