Wow: Biden Changes His Tune and Applauds Trump's Wuhan Coronavirus Leadership

Former Vice President Joe Biden can't make up his mind on how President Donald Trump should or should not be handling the Wuhan coronavirus. On Tuesday, he applauded the president for listening to health care experts like Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx.

"I think what's been done, appropriately is, it started off talking about the need to have the social distancing, realizing that by starting off listening to the scientists, listening to Dr. Fauci and others," he said.

It's like Biden magically forgot that he continually slammed President Trump for halting flights to and from China when the outbreak began.

“We have, right now, a crisis with the coronavirus,” Biden said shortly after the president's decision.  “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia - hysterical xenophobia - and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.”

When asked if the travel ban helped fight against the Wuhan coronavirus, Dr. Fauci said, “I think it absolutely has.”

"I believe that if we did not do that with China early on–" Fauci said. "... We spent a lot of time thinking about it, discussing it, about whether we should do it, and it was the right public health call."

During another interview, Dr. Fauci reiterated his position that he supported the travel back from China.

“Clearly, early on we made a travel ban with regards to China, That was a very smart move right there because what that did was prevent a major influx from China,” he said.

At one point Biden even said the White House was silencing the health care experts.

“Let the experts take this over. Everyone will have more confidence,” Biden said in February. “I think one of the reasons it’s failing is not just the pandemic concern, quote/unquote, but the way in which the president is handling this.”

Crazy Uncle Joe must have realized that the "Orange Man Bad" act isn't working, especially as states are starting to reopen. It's hard to make the case that President Trump hasn't displayed any kind of leadership during this pandemic when the initial death toll was expected to be 2.2 million Americans. We successfully mitigated this terrible virus. As of now, the death count sits just below 60,000. Even that is far too many to lose to this virus. But at least things aren't nearly as horrible as they were projected to be. We have the White House Coronavirus Task Force and President Trump to thank for that.

It's sad that Biden used the Wuhan coronavirus as a political weapon at all. Instead of focusing on the health and well-being of Americans, he was more focused on trying to take cheap shots.
