On Friday, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) turned 2020 presidential candidate appeared on "The View." During the discussion, late term abortion came up. And, sadly, Klobuchar couldn't flat out say she's against late term abortion.

Meghan McCain: Can I just ask a follow up question on this? For me, I hear what you're saying, I also know Democrats look like they've gone very extreme on this issue and I think it's gone from the party of safe, legal and rare to having a conversation about late-term abortion, up until birth, with the Ralph Northam controversy. Are you for what he said or late-term abortion or the moments he was talking about where you would "keep a woman comfortable: after giving birth in case she wanted to abort her third term child?

Klobuchar: I don't know all of his comments but what I do know is that I'm for a woman having a right to make a choice about her own body.

McCain: But the controversy is about... so you're for late-term abortion? Third term abortion?

Klobuchar: Here's the deal. That's not what we're talking about.

Joy Behar: Meghan, that is so rare and it's only when the child is going to be in trouble.

McCain: But it's a cultural conversation that's happening everywhere. And you're running for president, so...

Klobuchar: But right now the real cultural conversation is about what's happening in Alabama and Georgia and in Missouri. They're actually taking away a woman's right to choose at all.

McCain: It's a cultural conversation about late-term as well.

Behar: It's based on a lie. It's not true.

McCain: It's not based on a lie. I don't think it should be that hard to say, 'I'm not for late-term abortion in the third term.' I don't think it should be that controversial.

McCain is absolutely right. There should be absolutely nothing controversial about saying late-term abortion is wrong. We're no longer talking about a woman not knowing she was pregnant, even if rape or incest took place. We're now talking about an almost full-term baby here. Democrats can't argue this is "just a clump of cells" or "she had no way of knowing she was pregnant."

This conversation right here is proof that our cultural norms have shifted. It has become socially acceptable to have abortions up until and after birth. The Gosnell movie gives great insight into this shift. We shouldn't be debating on if it's considering an "abortion" after the baby is born and their spinal cords are cut. This is no longer about a "woman's right to choose" but about a greater issue: our nation's morality, which has clearly gone by the wayside.

We need to continually press the 2020 Democrats about where they stand on late-term abortion. You know why? Because most people would flat out say that's murder. There would be absolutely zero protest from them. Those who are debating it are progressive extremists. And, sadly, they're the most vocal and outspoken, therefore the Democratic Party believes their entire base feels the same way.
