Linda Sarsour Isn't Happy About GA's Heartbeat Bill. Here's Who She Blames For Its Passage.

Women's March leader Linda Sarsour on Tuesday took to Twitter to blame white women for Georgia passing their "heartbeat bill," which would make it illegal for women to have an abortion after a baby's heartbeat is detected. Some exceptions apply though.

According to Sarsour, the bill passed because white women voted for Gov. Brian Kemp (R) over Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams.

In order for an exception to be made, a woman has to be a victim of rape or incest and report it to the police or her health must be in jeopardy.

“Georgia is a state that values life. We stand up for those who are unable to speak for themselves. But our job is to do what is right, not what is easy,” Kemp said when signing the bill into law earlier this month. “We will not back down. We will always continue to fight for life.”

A similar bill was signed into law in Mississippi. States like Kentucky and Tennessee are also considering passing a similar bill.

Heartbeats are typically detected around six weeks into the pregnancy. If a physician violates the law and performs an abortion, he or she could have their medical license revoked.

The question here: is Sarsour more about the heartbeat bill or is she upset that women voted for Brian Kemp? Because it sure seems like she's still harping on Abrams' lost. After all, Abrams was supposed to be the end-all be-all for Democrats. Guess Sarsour has come to the realization that the Democrats don't speak for women.
