The RNC Is Cashin' In On Dems' Horrible Immigration Proposals

The Republican National Committee (RNC) plans to launch a six figure ad buy aimed at attacking Democrats for their immigration proposals, the Daily Caller reported. Specifically, the RNC plans to focus on Democrats advocating for open borders and sanctuary cities and their refusal to work with President Donald Trump to secure the United States-Mexico border.

According to internal information obtained by the Daily Caller, the ads will target those in states Trump won in 2016 and focuses on districts where there is an opportunity for Republicans to pick-up seats.

There will be 83 versions of the ad that will run across various platforms, including Google and Facebook. The RNC's targets include a list of 15 Democratic occupied districts, which are also on the National Republican Campaign Committee's (NRCC) target list.

“While Democrats continue to put American lives at risk by refusing to acknowledge the crisis unfolding at our southern border, President Trump has made it clear that his first priority is the safety and security of the American people. We know that this issue remains a top priority for Americans and we are ready to hold Democrats accountable for their reckless positions and dangerous policies on immigration,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told the Daily Caller.

The Republican Party raised $14.6 million this past February, the largest amount ever raised for the month of February in a non-election year. This is the second largest amount ever raised. The record breaking year was 2004, which was also an election year.

The GOP used a new fundraising strategy: focusing on what Trump did in his first 500 days in office. Over the course of five months the RNC dropped videos touting the president's success, which is believed to be the reason for the midterm success.
