Russian State TV: If Putin Strikes America With Nuclear Weapons, These Are His Targets

On Sunday night, Dmitry Kiselyov, presenter of Russia’s main weekly TV news show ‘Vesti Nedeli,' revealed a map of America with marked off targets, should a Cold War-style nuclear war develop between Russia and the United States. Kiselyov also detailed a hypersonic missile that Putin's team is developing, which would allegedly be able to hit America in less than five minutes.

“For now, we’re not threatening anyone, but if such a deployment takes place, our response will be instant," Kiselyov told his audience.

What's disturbing is all of the targets are described as U.S. presidential or military command centers. The list of targets included:
• The Pentagon.
• The president retreat in Camp David, Maryland.
• Fort Ritchie, a military training center in Maryland closed in 1998.
• McClellan, a U.S. Air Force base in California closed in 2001.
• Jim Creek, a naval communications base in Washington state.

The revelation of a hypersonic missile is troubling considering Russia quit the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF), which now gives them the ability to develop the type of missiles they allegedly have.

The Trump administration doesn't seem troubled by the report though. In fact, the Pentagon believes Putin's threats strengths the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

“Every time Putin issues these bombastic threats and touts his new doomsday devices, he should know he only deepens NATO’s resolve to work together to ensure our collective security,” Pentago spokesman Eric Pahon told Reuters.

Some believe Putin's ramped up propaganda talk is designed to get President Donald Trump to come to the table to discuss a strategic balance between the two super powers.
