"This is probably one of the worst domestic violence incidents I've seen in quite a while," said Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre.

Apparently Dakota was living with his parents for a short period of time. They had recently asked him to move out and not come back.

Authorities are still looking into possible motives.

Theriot has been been charged with two counts of first degree murder, illegal use of weapons and home invasion.

A 21-year-old man went on a shooting spree in multiple parishes in Louisiana on Saturday morning, leaving five dead, including his parents. Detectives are still on the lookout for Dakota Theriot, who remains at large, WVUE-TV reported.

Theriot is believed to be driving a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck with license plate number C583809. Police believe he's heading towards Mississippi.

Around 9 a.m. Saturday, Theriot killed his parents, Elizabeth Theriot, 50, and Keith Theriot, 50, in Gonzales, LA. He then went to a nearby parish and killed three more. The victims have been identified as Billy Ernest, 43, Tanner Ernest, 17, and Summer Ernest, 20, WAFB-TV reported. Authorities believe the second incident was a "boyfriend/girlfriend" domestic violence type of situation.
