Of Course Mamdani Won't Condemn the ISIS-Loving Terrorists

Over the weekend, a pair of ISIS-inspired Islamic terrorists threw an IED into a crowd of anti-Muslim protesters in New York City. The only reason there weren't mass casualties is that the bomb, which was packed with strong explosives and projectiles like nails and screws, didn't detonate.

I would call that nothing short of miraculous. Mamdani, of course, blamed "white supremacy" for the attack, because white supremacists are notorious for yelling "Allahu akbar" before they try to blow people up. And the media, always happy to assist a Democrat and keen to appease Islamists, pretended the attack was targeted at Mamdani and not the protesters.

The only thing more predictable and less surprising than the media's reaction to this terror attack, and Mamdani's refusal to condemn his fellow Islamists, is that the sun rose in the east this morning.

Here's more (emphasis added):

Mayor Zohran Mamdani refused to condemn the pair of alleged ISIS-loving radical Islamists Monday who are charged with tossing IEDs near Gracie Mansion during an anti-Muslim protest Saturday.

“They are suspected of coming here to commit an act of terrorism,” Hizzoner said during a press conference outside Grace Mansion, flanked by NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

“There’s video of these two individuals throwing two devices towards the protest. The police department has determined that these were improvised explosive devices made to injure, maim, or worse.”

He added, “Let me say this plainly: anyone who comes to New York City to bring violence to our streets will be held accountable in accordance with the law.”

Why did these two men, identified as Ibraham Kayumi, 19, and Emir Balat, 18, try to kill dozens of anti-Muslim protesters, Mamdani? Names like "Ibraham" and "Emir" don't exactly scream "white supremacist" to me.

Because they're not "white supremacists." They're terrorists, and allegedly members of, and inspired by, ISIS. How many more of them are in the United States, by the way? How many have been radicalized by Islamist propaganda, encouraged and aided by the Democratic Party? And how many of them came to the country, either by crossing our border or being imported by the Biden administration, who didn't bother to vet any of them?

In Austin, a terrorist killed at least two and left several more wounded after he opened fire at a bar. That terrorist, Ndiaga Diagne, a 53-year-old naturalized citizen from Senegal, was pictured wearing a "Property of Allah" sweatshirt and reportedly had a t-shirt bearing the Iranian flag on it. He wore the garb while committing the attack.

I can't help but wonder if the media's reaction is, in part, to deflect from the heat Mamdani and his wife, Rama Duwaji, received after we learned Duwaji liked multiple social media posts celebrating and chronicling the October 7, 2023, terror attacks in Israel. Mamdani dismissed the criticism, saying his wife is a "private citizen" who has no influence over his administration. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. And as I said the other day, it must be nice being married to a Democrat, because Virginia Thomas and Martha Bomgardner, wife of Justice Alito, got no such deference.

While I disagree that Duwaji is a private citizen (she lost that title when she married the guy who was running for mayor of NYC), not one journalist has bother asking Mamdani if he agrees with her views, or if he'll condemn them. When Bomgardner flew an "Appeal to Heaven" flag outside on of their properties, every Republican was asked to condemn this "symbol of January 6."

Why can't one journalist ask Mamdani if he condemns those social media posts? Because, with his refusal to condemn a literal terror attack in his own backyard, we already know the answer.
