Pelosi Book Promo

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be hosting a web chat on the Washington Post at 3pm today to promote her new book...which makes me wonder if one of the reasons she was so eager to shut down the House last week was to give her time to promote it.

The book was released July 29, three days before she threw the House into recess for a month-long paid vacation. And, as all authors know, the first week is always the most important to sell those books!

Unfortunately for Pelosi, her promotion schedule exposes her to questions as to why she won't allow a clean up-or-down vote on offshore drilling like George Stephanopoulos asked her in his Sunday interview.
