Obama Needs a New Pair of Shoes

Hey, everyone. I'm on vacation this week, but I wanted to share my Glamocracy post today.

Just like the summer interns in DC, the GOP can't let the flip-flop go. It worked so well against John Kerry! It's hard to blame 'em for trying to recycle the fad, but I'm here to say flip-flops are soooooooooo 2004.

Flip-flops just don't fit Barack Obama. Sure, he's been slippery on a number of positions.Like Public financing, FISA, NAFTA and gun ownership, just to name a few. But I wouldn't call him a flip-flopper for those things. It's a little more snakey, craven and slick. Maybe like a water moccasin.

Remember, the flip-flop has two components. When the 2004 anti-war Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry said he was "for" war funding that was the flip away from his well-staked campaign position. So, when he followed that with "before I was against it" that was the flop. Two components.

Quite frankly, Obama's record isn't long enough to have a position, flip away and flop back. He needs new pair of shoes, baby. Maybe a pair Tory Burch ballet slippers. Trendy, soft and squishy.
