Subpoenas Are Out: Seven Issued By House Intel Committee, Four On Russian Collusion, Three On Unmasking (And Susan Rice Is On The List)

Politico is reporting that the House Intelligence Committee has signed off on subpoenas for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and President Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen. The publication added that the businesses of Flynn and Cohen are also included in the subpoenas. The Hill added that besides the subpoenas issued for Flynn and Cohen, three were sent to the CIA, FBI, and NSA over the unmasking claims. Former Obama official Susan Rice was on the list:

The House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday issued seven new subpoenas in its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Four of the subpoenas are related directly to Russian meddling, which is also also the subject of probes from the Senate Intelligence Committee and FBI.

The other three focus on allegations of improper “unmasking” of Trump campaign officials, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Those three subpoenas went to the CIA, FBI and National Security Agency and are related to questions — primarily from Republicans — about how the names of associates of President Trump were un-redacted and distributed in classified Obama administration reports during the transition period.

Yesterday, Flynn agreed to turn over documents to the Senate Intelligence Committee concerning their investigation into Russia’s activities during the 2016 campaign.

UPDATE: Fox News’ James Rosen reports that Samantha Power, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, and former CIA Director John Brennan were given subpoenas as well.
