Chaffetz Slams WH Leakers: 'Put Some Handcuffs on Them'

During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week" Sunday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz slammed anonymous leakers who have hurt the Trump administration by giving information to the press.

Chaffetz told host George Stephanopoulos the person who leaked information about the president’s meeting with top Russian officials should go to jail.

"I want to see that this person is prosecuted. I think the president makes a very good point. No matter who is in the White House, you cannot have the type of leaking of information, sources, methods, classified information," the congressman told Stephanopoulos.

"I don't care who it is — Democrat or Republican — you cannot have that happen. So, not only do you need to wall them off, you probably ought to put handcuffs on them and put them in jail," he said.

After the Washington Post report came out, President Trump acknowledged he shared “facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety” and said he had “the absolute right to do.”
