Donald Trump +2 Million Over Mitt Romney in Voting So Far

This has been an election where reality is sidetracked by statistics formulated by think-tanks and elitists.  So why not compare some simple numbers from 2012 and 2016 like popular votes from each state?

Donald Trump has amassed more than 2 million more votes than Mitt Romney did in 2012 in each respective state, according to one report.  Head-to-head, Trump crushes Romney in Florida, New York, and Georgia.  Romney beat Trump handedly in the District of Columbia.

Romney beats Ted Cruz in the same primary states by nearly 500,000 votes.

After Tuesday's primaries in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island, Donald Trump has passed Mitt Romney’s popular vote total from four years ago and is on a trajectory that could land him more Republican votes than any presidential candidate in modern history.

Trump surged to more than 10 million votes, according to totals that include Tuesday’s preliminary results across the Northeast. According to Politico, that’s already about 250,000 more than Romney earned in the entire 2012 primary season and 153,000 more than John McCain earned in 2008.
