The Special (ObamaCare) Perks of Office

Frustrated with ObamaCare? Lost your health insurance coverage, but can't get on Healthcare.gov to get a replacement -- or, even if you can, is it well beyond your means?

You obviously do not work on Capitol Hill.

For the lawmakers and aides there, it's a whole different situation. From The New York Times, we learn that on Capitol Hill, there are "in-person support sessions," a special Blue Cross and Blue Shield website, and a special toll-free telephone number.

If that's not enough, keep in mind that what the Times calls "the government" (but in reality is actually you and me, the taxpayers) pay up to 75% of their premiums. Must be nice -- especially given that we (not "the government") get to "contribute" up to $5,114 a year for individual coverage and $11,378 for family coverage.

Any Democrat who voted to inflict the ObamaCare monstrosity on regular Americans while claiming these perks for him- or herself should be profoundly ashamed.
