These Americans Were Furious Over Trump's SCOTUS Announcement...But Not for the Reason You'd Think

We all knew it was coming. The Left went absolutely mad over President Trump’s decision to nominate Brett Kavanaugh to fill Justice Anthony Kennedy’s seat on the Supreme Court. But there was one group of Americans who were even more outraged over the announcement: #BachelorNation.

Monday morning, well before the President was set to reveal his pick, The Bachelorette host, Chris Harrison, warned the show’s fans that the program would be briefly “paused" for the SCOTUS announcement.

However, the PSA did little to curb viewers’ annoyance when Becca, this season’s bachelorette, had her date with Blake so rudely interrupted by the President. Trump really has some nerve.

We wouldn’t call nominating a Supreme Court Justice “shenanigans,” but how Becca's third one-on-one date goes is surely more important than the future of our highest court. Glad our priorities are straight.

This isn’t the first time the President has dared to interrupt The Bachelorette, either.

Earlier in the season, the program was delayed so ABC could air the historic summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. While none of the episode was actually cut out, The Bachelorette fans were about as pleased then as they were last night.

Perhaps Trump will start listening to what the American people really want and start scheduling his important announcements and meetings for Tuesdays.

We can hear the campaign slogan already: Make Bachelor Mondays Great Again.
