New York Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) has made headlines for being the new face of Democratic socialism in America. She has done a number of interviews with media outlets on the Left but has repeated declined interviews with right-leaning organizations.
The Daily Wire's editor-in-chief, Ben Shapiro, challenge Oscasio-Cortez to debate him. In return, he said he would donate $10,000 to her political campaign or a charity of her choice.
Hey, @Ocasio2018, what do you say? pic.twitter.com/lKDtmMc8Us
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) August 8, 2018
Oscasio-Cortez finally responded and basically said she wouldn't debate someone who she deems to be sexist.
Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.

And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one. pic.twitter.com/rsD17Oq9qe
Shapiro responded to Ocasio-Cortez's tweet:
Discussion and debate are not “bad intentions.” Slandering someone as a sexist catcaller without reason or evidence does demonstrate cowardice and bad intent, however. https://t.co/kYaYuf0W43

During an interview with Fox News, Shapiro talked about the situation, saying Ocasio-Cortez was doing everything in her power to play the victim card.
“And the fact that she feels the necessity to go to this particular card, right, to play the ‘I’m a female and therefore I’m being victimized, this is like catcalling’ … the fact [that] she goes there instead of just saying ‘You know, I’m not interested in debate.' The reason she didn’t say the latter is because she didn’t want to look like she was afraid," Shapiro told Fox News.

“I mean, if she were to get into a discussion with somebody who asks her tough questions, I don’t think she has the information or the philosophy at her disposal to actually answer those questions well,” Shapiro said. “And she knows that, which is why her best move here would have been either to just ignore or to say no. And then everybody would’ve moved on with their life.”
Well-known conservative women stepped in and said they would be more than willing to debate Ocasio-Cortez, so the playing field is "even" as far as sex goes.
Here's who's willing to debate the Congressional candidate:
Katie Pavlich
Editor, Townhall and Fox News Contributor
Okay fine @Ocasio2018, if you won’t debate @benshapiro because he’s a man (and because he would destroy you intellectually) how about a debate with me? https://t.co/y4m2mkLbVt

Kaya Jones
Ambassador for the National Diversity Coalition For Trump and former member of the Pussy Cat Dolls
Can I please debate you @Politicon this coming October @Ocasio2018

If a man asking @Ocasio2018 to debate is catcalling, what was it when I asked? (And other women that I’m sure have also asked.) I would LOVE to discuss her claim that Jesus was a socialist. Or is that mean?

Candace Owens
Communications Director for Turning Point USA
And what exactly was your excuse for having turned down the debate with me?
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) August 10, 2018
Can’t wrap that one up in fake-feminism.
I’ll double @benshapiro’s offer. 20k to a charity of your choice— a capitalism vs. socialism debate. https://t.co/jHQHZcJ83V
To make matters even more interesting, Turning Point USA's founder, Charlie Kirk, said donors would donate $100,000 to a charity if Ocasio-Cortez debated the group's Communications Director, Candace Owens.
I’ll up the ante inspired by @benshapiro offer - I have a group of donors that will contribute $100,000 to the charity of your choice to debate @RealCandaceO. ANY CHARITY.

Why are you scared to discuss your ideas @Ocasio2018 ? https://t.co/colKiIS7nk
