Vandals have often targeted President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The last guy even took a pickax to it. Lawmakers got in on the fun last year when the West Hollywood City Council voted to approve a resolution to remove the star, citing the president's "disturbing" treatment of women and other offenses.
“[A]llowing Mr. Trump to continue to have a star in light of his behavior toward women, particularly in the time #timesup and #metoo movements, should not be acceptable in the Hollywood and entertainment industry,” the resolution stated.
The request made its way to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who apparently did nothing with it.
Should the city actually remove Trump's star one day, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill suggested they give the real estate to his old pal Carrie Fisher, AKA Princess Leia.

Hamill's idea kickstarted the trend #AStarforCarrie as fans eagerly seconded his notion.

Yet, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce insists all the stars are set in stone.
"We don’t remove stars,” spokeswoman Ana Martinez said. “The stars are part of the history of the Walk of Fame.”
There's another issue. As much as the chamber would "love" for Fisher to get a star, her application has to be submitted on the fifth anniversary of her death, Martinez explained.
Fisher fans won't have to wait that long to see her in the next Star Wars installment, in theaters later this year.
