Cher is usually Republicans' worst nightmare on Twitter. Second perhaps only to Bette Midler, the "Do You Believe in Love" singer is relentless in her campaign against the president. With a generous use of caps lock, she has called him a misogynist, a racist, and worse.
That's why her recent Twitter thread is so surprising. On Thursday, the singer implored Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to end the government shutdown and fund President Trump's border wall already.
No, it's not because she's suddenly become a fan of the president or that she believes the border wall is necessary for border security. She just doesn't want Trump to have the satisfaction of having the high ground.
