OPINION

Issa for Mitt, Brownback for Perry

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

The pace of 2012 endorsements continues to pick up, as Morning Score reports that California Rep. Darrell Issa will endorse Mitt Romney today and the Daily Caller writes that Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback's about to sign on with Rick Perry.

It's too early to call this a bona fide trend, but there's something of a Washington versus the rest of the country split to the big 2012 primary endorsements this month.

Perry's biggest wins have come from governors out in the states: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and now Brownback.
