Attacks against Jews, like the mass murder in Sydney, always raise the question: should Jews just leave?
Firstly, I do not believe that Jews are going to get up and leave Western countries. Additionally, I don’t know if Israel is the perfect destination for every Jew and Jewish family. I know many people who have come here and fallen in love with the land and the people. I know others who could not handle the way of life here and pined to go back home. Jewish communities in Western countries go back ages, and I don’t expect them to shut shop and move to Israel. Remember, a lot of German Jews figured that Hitler would blow over. Those with shops found it hardest to leave all that they had. I am sure that many regretted not reading the signs as they were sent to concentration camps.
Let’s do a thought experiment.
Let’s imagine that the constant threats and the not infrequent attacks simply cause Jews to up and leave. They fly endless El-Al emergency flights to empty Australia and other countries of their Jews. Clearly, a very large “aliyah” would be a challenge for Israel and her citizens. But let’s focus in this article on the countries they left behind. Obviously, the Muslims would be thrilled that their efforts, if they did not lead to the death of the Jews, at least got them out of the country. Already, after the murder of 15 people at Bondi Beach, local Muslims set off fireworks to celebrate. Okay, so the Jews are gone: what comes next?
One could talk about the loss of culture, or high-worth individuals, or the lost contributions of Jews to all walks of life. I still have family in Australia, where my father and his family fled in 1939. But with the Jews gone, the locals will make do. The question becomes: what will the growing Muslim community do? I doubt very much that they will rest on their laurels and say job well done: as Hasan Nasrallah pointed out, the Jews all coming to Israel makes Islam’s job of wiping them out that much easier—God Forbid. But would the Muslims stop the attacks, the disruptions, the demands for no more pork, alcohol, or dogs in their neighborhoods? I doubt that the percentage of Jewish girls harmed by the rape gangs in England was more than 1 percent. Hundreds of thousands of white girls were abused primarily by Pakistani men throughout the country over the course of decades. I doubt that there were many Jewish girls in that cohort. And that is the answer to the question: the Muslims will not rest but will refocus to attack Christians and their institutions.
Already in countries like England and Canada, churches are going up in flames. Many imams have made it clear that their goals are to destroy Judaism and Christianity. As in Nazi Germany, the Jews are a small percentage of the locals and are the easiest target. But if they all went to the Holy Land, the Muslims would refocus their attacks and efforts against the majority Christian population. Demographics are in their favor. Weak immigration control is in their favor. Demented leftist ideology that promotes the other over the locals is in their favor. And their willingness to push their agenda, whereas their enemy is into meetings, committees, white papers, etc., is definitely in their favor. So I know that a lot of Westerners would be happy to see the Jews go away. In the U.S., we can see Jew hatred from both the Left and a mutated form of the Right. If all of the Jews just vanished, they would rejoice at getting rid of these people with supposed dual loyalties or strange customs. But their problems would not be over. The Muslims have them in their sights as well. Those who push a robust Islam that will not rest until Sharia is the law of the land will rejoice in their new Judenrein lands, but that will be a waypoint and not the final destination for them. Both the Left that marches with the Hamas wannabes and the loony Right that praises Qatar and Sharia will find that their new friends will become their new enemies in short order.
Syria is a good case study on this point. Armani al-Julani has been feted by the West and been received with warmth and honor by President Trump. Donald Trump has expressed his confidence in the Assad replacement, and how has the president been rewarded? On the anniversary of Assad the Younger moving to Moscow, al-Julani’s ISIS troops marched in Damascus and sang the praises of killing Jews. A few days later, one of al-Julani’s guys killed three Americans, including two soldiers. Wait, didn’t President Trump put his full faith in the new guy in Damascus? Didn’t he make him a key piece in the new Middle Eastern puzzle? But al-Julani’s first allegiance is to Islam and Sharia. The hatred toward Israel and the U.S. is something that he can’t remove, just like his shadow. The Muslims being brought in wholesale into Western countries are not assimilating but simply reproducing their former homelands in towns that once were English, French or American. Dearborn is the blueprint for the rest of America: take it over and make it into Dearbornabad.
Americans and their counterparts in Europe are too nice and politically tired to act decisively to stop this madness: end all Islamic immigration and eject anyone who is not a citizen. As to the citizens, set up a full department in the FBI to monitor their communications and activities as they relate to subversion of the Constitution of the United States. Kash Patel recently went to Doha to sign agreements with the country that wishes to wipe out the Christian West. Oh, well.
Qatar could not associate the Bondi attack with Jews and Chanukkah. Initially, the Australian prime minister couldn’t either. We don’t want to recognize those Jews or give them any feel-sorry points. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Bibi Netanyahu immediately praised the fellow who tackled one of the Bondi Beach shooters and wrestled the shotgun out of his arms. Bibi did not have to weigh whether or not to say something good about him. This guy is a hero and deserves praise, which he immediately received from all Jewish quarters. Qatar hates Jews and could not state the obvious, namely that the attack was intentionally directed toward a Jewish gathering. Qatar is evil. Tucker Carlson can have them.
Imagine being a government-trained assassin sent to a foreign country to kill its minister of defense. You have trained for months, and now is the time to act. You do your job, but instead of killing the minister, you kill his driver or his protection detail or his family, or tourists. You have failed, and your mission is a failure. Now, imagine that you are an Islamic terrorist. You kill a rabbi. Success. You kill children. Success. You kill a Holocaust survivor. Success. You kill an Israeli and a French tourist. Success. Their job is to kill, and it doesn’t matter who. As long as they kill, they have succeeded in making fewer infidels in the world and advancing their cause of world domination. Australia has morphed from a country of rugged individuals who just wanted to be left alone into a government-controlled socialist dump, where guns are few and far between, and internet surveillance is only behind that of its former mother, England. The shooters and their lot want to take the next step and make Australia a full caliphate. And with low birth rates and little patriotic fervor, it doesn’t seem that the locals will do much to stop them.
