I’ve never gone from sadness to rage in such a short period of time than this week when I watched a pandering, vile Democrat blame global warming for the rash of tornadoes that struck the South.

When over 50 people are killed by a horrible storm that spawned countless twisters, who could expect that anyone would be brazen and ugly enough to politicize this natural disaster?

John Kerry reporting for duty.

I love Tennessee. The state is beautiful and the people are warm and gracious. When I first heard about the killer storm, my heart went out to those good and decent folks.

But then I made the mistake of turning on the television and watching Sen. John Kerry give his best scientific explanation of the cause of these multiple tornadoes. I realize that when he ran for president he couldn’t stop telling us what a fabled war hero he was, but I must have missed the part about his meteorology degree.

Before any of the bodies in the south were even buried, here’s what this Senate scoundrel had to say about this weeks devastation: “[I] don’t want to sort of leap into the larger meaning of, you know, inappropriately, but on the other hand, the weather service has told us we are going to have more and more intense storms,” Kerry said. “And insurance companies are beginning to look at this issue and understand this is related to the intensity of storms that is related to the warming of the earth. And so it goes to global warming and larger issues that we’re not paying attention to. The fact is the hurricanes are more intensive, the storms are more intensive and the rainfall is more intense at certain places at certain times and the weather patterns have changed.”

What a ghoul.

The obsession that liberals have with global warming has gotten so out of hand that they sound like a bunch of mental patients in an asylum.

Consider for a moment what a clever strategy this is: it’s too cold outside, must be global warming. Too hot? Global warming. Hurricanes? Tornadoes? Floods? Global warming all.

It really is enough to make you heave.

Do you think we’ve ever had killer tornadoes touch down before, Sen. Kerry? According to the Associated Press, this was the worst storm of its kind in 23 years. So what happened 24 years ago? You think us fat cat Republicans driving around in our SUV’s spawned tornadoes in 1984?

It’s one thing to spout off about “the planet in peril” (thanks, CNN) or “the earth suffering from a fever” (classic Al Gore). But to hurt the grieving families of Tennessee and the other states impacted by somehow equating their loss with a man-made inspired weather condition is simply grotesque.

One can line up scientist after scientist who will happily refute “Dr.” Kerry’s assertion that global warming created the storms this week. But that doesn’t stop this crowd. They don’t let any facts get in the way of their rant.

They have the rich movie stars, hopping aboard their fuel-guzzling private jets, lecturing us on how many squares of toilet paper we can use in order to “save the planet.” They have the idiots at NBC deciding to seat their football sportscasters in the dark in order to brag that by saving electricity by not using studio lights, they are somehow “saving the planet” (I will NEVER forget an obviously annoyed Tikki Barber mumbling on-air about hoping the lights are back next week so viewers could actually see him).

In other words, these lunatics are out of control.

I’ve got a couple of recommendations for John “Mr. Weather Channel” Kerry: try to maintain some degree of decency and respect for the dead. Don’t play politics over the funerals of tornado victims.

And most of all, go back to what you’re good at: attempting to be relevant – but failing miserably.
