We all know that the title of this column is true; they want to intimidate you, shut you up, and destroy your right to free speech. This is exactly what China does. I know, I lived there for 10 years, and I was warned, more than once, to be careful, or even stop, some “free speech” activity I was doing. The CCP can’t handle even semi-public criticism, and no totalitarian government, like the one the Democrats want to create in America, will tolerate opposition. If you want to know if what I’m saying about China is true, just go there, and walk down a main street in any city carrying a sign that says, “F--- Xi Jinping” and see what happens.
The Democrats in America know they cannot come right out and say, “We don’t believe in free speech for conservatives, we only believe in free speech for ourselves,” but sometimes they do, implicitly, let the cat out of the bag. Recently, Breitbart posted this headline: “Nolte: Newsom’s Wife Wants Legislation to Stop Boys From Becoming Right-Wing.” There is apparently some legislation “coming” in California that will force tech companies to be “a force for good” when it comes to boys being too interested in the Republican Party. Do you need me to tell you what Gavin and Jennifer Newsom believe would be a “force for good”? Um… you can be pretty sure it isn’t anything you believe in.
Mrs. Newsom was talking mainly, in this interview, at something called the “Common Sense Summit on Kids and Families” in San Francisco (its location is enough to tell intelligent people what this group probably believes). Mrs. Newsom was concerned that “Boys, we all know…are moving away from the more progressive—Boys [who] have spent time online are moving a little bit—I’m trying not to be political here but are moving to the right…” So, “we’re working on legislation to hold tech companies accountable and help them be a force for good, so they don’t go down this rabbit hole [of] very dangerous and limiting narratives around what it means to be a girl, what it means to be a boy.” In other words, we don’t want boys being taught the true differences between a man and a woman. And then this dandy statement: “We’re trying to institutionalize our values so that they carry on beyond our [our? Mrs. Governor Newsom?] term.”

She wants to “institutionalize our values” so that everyone will believe what she and her “partner” believe. Folks, America wasn’t built on transgenderism; it was built on understanding that there are God-ordained differences between men and women. But I’ve said it before, and I will repeat it as long as they prove it: the Left wants a completely different America from what the country traditionally has been. They want to change America, and they will, if ever given the power they crave. And part of that means teaching boys that there is no difference between men and women, that men can become women, if they want to, simply by saying they are. Yeah, Mrs. Newsom, let’s institutionalize anti-scientific, anti-historical, anti-common sense, anti-godly stupidity. That will build a great country, won’t it?
And that woman’s husband is slobbering to be our next president.
But the real fear here, folks, as stated in Mrs. Newsom’s words, is that she wants laws that would force tech companies to teach Newsom’s perverted values; “we’re working on legislation”—laws that would demand these companies be “a force for good,” i.e., only teach what the Left wants them to teach, thus denying these companies the right of free speech. “You tell boys what we want you to tell them, or you will suffer the penalty of law-breaking.” Laws restrict freedom. The Newsoms do not believe in free speech; they do not believe in true freedom, period. They want to force “tech companies” to only allow what they want, to limit boys' exposure to traditional American, Judeo-Christian values. This is horrible, and totally un-American, to say the least.
But the major media will never report this, of course, and most Americans will go merrily on their way, never knowing what the Democrats truly believe. As George Washington said, the denial of free speech means sheep being led to the slaughter, which is exactly what the Democratic Party is trying to do.
Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of American liberty, of course, of anyone’s liberty. As I noted above, it’s totalitarian governments like China that don’t allow it. Freedom of speech means the right to say things others may not like or agree with. I think transgenderism is a terribly destructive thing, utterly ridiculous, but freedom of speech means that a person has a right to propagate and defend it if he/she wants to. They should have that freedom. But they must also allow me the freedom to oppose it. That’s what Newsom’s legislation is trying to prevent. They only want one side—theirs—to be heard, so that it can become “institutionalized.”
Freedom of speech means debate. If the Democrats have the truth on transgenderism, what are they afraid of? Why are they trying to limit the debate on the subject? Why are they trying to force everyone to believe what they believe? I would never force anyone to be a Christian; Jesus didn’t, and I won’t. But the Left doesn’t like debate because they know they are wrong and that exposing their error will harm their cause! They don’t want truth, they want power. Just like the CCP. And limiting free speech is one way to accomplish that.
The Left is un-American, anti-freedom, and totally evil. We’ve been warned by their own words. They want to lead us to the slaughter.
