Four years after the COVID-19 pandemic ripped through the world, causing governments to panic by shutting down economies, wrecking futures, destroying livelihoods and changing American culture forever, we're finally seeing a sliver of accountability for the people who foisted the disease on the world.

Since 2020, former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci has denied grants from the National Institutes of Health have been used to Frankenstein viruses — known as gain-of-function research that makes viruses more dangerous to humans — in labs across the world. That, of course, was a lie then and it's a lie now.

Fauci is known as the "Godfather" of this type of research, and somehow, as narcissists do, believed he would get away with claiming to Congress during sworn testimony that he never issued grants to fund gain-of-function research. He also denies repeatedly perjuring himself.

"I have not lied before Congress. I have never lied, certainly not before Congress. Case closed," Fauci said during Senate testimony in July 2021.

But this week, Fauci's narrative came crashing down — again — when the Department of Health and Human Services confirmed EcoHealth would no longer receive federal grants and would be debarred. EcoHealth is run by Dr. Peter Daszak, a longtime Fauci partner.

"EcoHealth Alliance and Dr. Peter Daszak should never again receive a single penny from the U.S. taxpayer. Only two weeks after the Select Subcommittee released an extensive report detailing EcoHealth’s wrongdoing and recommending the formal debarment of EcoHealth and its president, HHS has begun efforts to cut off all U.S. funding to this corrupt organization," House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup released in a statement.

"EcoHealth facilitated gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China without proper oversight, willingly violated multiple requirements of its multimillion-dollar National Institutes of Health grant, and apparently made false statements to the NIH. These actions are wholly abhorrent, indefensible, and must be addressed with swift action. EcoHealth’s immediate funding suspension and future debarment is not only a victory for the U.S. taxpayer, but also for American national security and the safety of citizens worldwide," Wenstrup continued.

To this day, Fauci denies any wrongdoing — a completely shameless and yet totally predictable position.

Fauci's reckless grant funding led to the creation of COVID-19 in China. When it leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology — a place with lax safety standards — Fauci went to great lengths to cover up its origin by engaging in Big Tech censorship and refuting the "conspiracy theory" the virus came from anything other than a wet market or natural jump from animals to humans.

A funding cut in Washington, D.C., is essentially unheard of, especially when corrupt bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci are benefiting from the money flow – and the move should be applauded. But, it isn't enough. Millions of people are dead, an entire generation of children have lost their education and countless workers — including thousands in the U.S. military — were fired for refusing to take an experimental vaccine that Fauci and company were also pushing. What Ecohealth, the NIH and Fauci did is criminal and should be treated as such.
