“The Nobel Prize is a set of annual international awards bestowed in several categories by Swedish and Norwegian institutions in recognition of academic, cultural, or scientific advances.” If you’re an early riser, as such, you might want to check out the news at 5 am Eastern time, on Friday, October 9th.

The Nobel Peace Prize committee has an opportunity to demonstrate to the world that, in accordance with founder Alfred Nobel’s wishes, they are committed to the cause of peace. Still, they could ignore Donald Trump’s multiple achievements and hand out their ‘coveted’ Peace Prize to leftist approved pontificators. To do so, though, would undermine the integrity of the prize which has happened in recent years.

An Approach Unlike Others

As is well-known by those who pay attention to world events, and unknown to liberals, President Trump has been nominated three times in the last several weeks for a Nobel Peace Prize, all of them most deserving nominations. First, he brokered the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, subsequently joined by Bahrain. This in itself is a monumental achievement.

Spearheaded by Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the relations between these Middle Eastern countries have been normalized. Plane flights to and from are already in operation. More Middle Eastern countries are eager to sign peace accords with Israel as well. How did this happen? President Trump took an unconventional approach to finding solutions in this troubled region of the world, which has seen only hostilities for eons.

President Trump was instrumental in coordinating a new era of peaceful relations between Kosovo and Serbia. If you weren't aware, these nations had been skirmishing for decades. And now, Kosovo, which is a 95.6 percent Muslim nation, and Serbia, which has been Christian for 12 centuries, are poised to launch an unprecedented commerce and trade agreement, unlike what has been witnessed in that region, seemingly, for an eternity.

This second Trump achievement in and of itself would be deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize and everybody on the Nobel committee knows it, as do other analysts, commentators, and political pundits from around the world. They can hide, but they can't ignore the reality.

Overarching Policies for Peace

President Trump's third nomination comes as a result of his overarching policy of not starting wars, reducing troop levels around the world, and recognizing that the U.S., or any other single country, cannot serve as the world's police force. The U.S. under Trump has withdrawn troops in numerous places. He is against engaging in long-term skirmishes and unwinnable wars, let alone initiating military action.

While Trump has rebuilt the U.S. military to a position of unmatched dominance, his peace through strength initiatives are paying off. His dramatic shift from all of the U.S. presidents before him, again, in and of itself is notable and worthy of the Peace Prize, especially when you consider his predecessor.

Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for his alleged "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people." In other words, after nine months in office, for essentially nothing. Or, as some reporters noted, for not being George W. Bush. Obama then spent the next seven years demonstrating that he was unworthy. Ex-Nobel secretary Geir Lundestad told the AP that he came to regret selecting Obama.

President Trump, on the other hand, has literally ushered in a new era of both American relations with foreign nations around the globe, and the possibility of long-term peace in otherwise troubled regions.

Objectivity, What a Concept!

Trump’s peace initiatives are roundly ignored or downplayed by the leftist mainstream press, including the declining New York Times and the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post. Nevertheless, long after these once great and now dubious media institutions have morphed into something else, or have vanished from the scene, Trump’s peace-related achievements will be viewed as brilliant.

By objective measures, Donald Trump has earned the Nobel Peace Prize, three times over. Must the Norwegian and Swedish lefties, however, issue the Peace Prize to Trump, with his three recent nominations? Not really. It might be too upsetting to too many people. Besides, acknowledging reality is not among the Left's strengths. Now and then, they reward individuals for actual breakthroughs in world peace. Much of the time, though, they recognize only those individuals who ascribe to predetermined narratives.

So, early Friday morning will be a most illuminating time!
