Western civilization had a good run, it will be missed. It’s over, time to pack up and move on. Thanks to the medical and technological advances, lifting billions out of poverty and pretty much everything good in your life not family or friends, but from here on out it is done. What comes next is a mystery, but we’ve had it too good for too long, run out of actual problems and set about trying desperately to create some so we’d have something to worry about. Our reptilian brains could not accept that we, the living, have it better than anyone who lived before us, and the freedom that accompanies a lack of real problems sowed the seeds of our destruction.

Human beings have it better now than at any time in the history of our species. That’s not opinion, that’s an objective fact. Antibiotics were invented in 1909, and took years to become common for all infections, but before that there was a pretty good chance a basic cut would end your life horribly. Step on a nail, it’s Russian Roulette. Slice your hand on a post, get your affairs in order.

Before antibiotics, before refrigeration, before “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair, there was a pretty decent chance a meal could kill you. While not likely, the odds were high enough that if presented with them today at a restaurant, people would choose to go hungry rather than take them.

Two hundred years ago and before, life was spent waking up and trying to gather enough food to ensure you and your family could survive the day, all so you could do it again tomorrow. If a “king” came along and told you he was your sovereign, he could make you go off to far away places you’d never heard of and kill people you didn’t know existed, or be killed by them. If it wasn’t a royal coming to whisk you away for war, it could be a drifter who just murders you and takes all your things. A few hundred years ago, there was nothing to investigate the murder of random people who mostly kept to themselves. Modern crime fighting techniques like fingerprinting and DNA were, again, western inventions.

Now we’re in a place where, thanks to the brainwashing in the education system, people are convinced we’ve never had it so bad. How many college students toss around the word “oppressed” or believe “the system” is fundamentally rigged against them or someone else somehow?

Of course, problems still exist in the world and this country, but nowhere near the extent to which people believe. They are the exception, not the rule.

How else can you explain the march of pro-terrorist protesters on some of the most elite college campuses on the planet? They march in “opposition to genocide” while chanting literal calls for genocide against Israel. If Israel has been committing genocide for the last 75 years, it’s the slowest genocide ever, considering the number of Palestinians has done nothing but increase in that time

Only people out of problems could waste time on “Decolonizing in mathematics” and classify it as a “EMERGENCY lecture in the Equity Forum series.” While that’s in Canada, the “woke virus” knows no geographic borders, it infects every western nation.

You will find these issues and martyr complexes commonplace throughout Europe too. If self-immolation ever becomes an Olympic event, expect the west to sweep the podium indefinitely.

The famous, yet probably made up quote that, “The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them,” is really coming into play now, though it should probably be modernized to be something like, “Capitalists will pay off our student loans as we march them to the guillotine.”

Western civilization is responsible for damn near everything good created in the last 150 years, and has made life infinitely better for human beings. Yet, some people use the liberties afforded them though those advances, or because of those advances, to rot from within that which made life better for everyone.

The better life gets, the worse some people take it. Whether they do so because or in spite of those advances is irrelevant, that there is so little pushback against it from political leadership in both parties is the real problem.

When the west collapses, and it will if things don’t change, it will not be due China, Russia or any external force, it will be from within. It will come from the progressive movement, from college students for whom history began when they first got “woke,” and nothing contrary to their beliefs can be entertained. When questioning political orthodox becomes an unforgivable sin while murdering babies is celebrated, no society can last long, or deserves to.
