Don’t Believe for a Second Democrats Care About Jordan Neely

A lot of people die every single day, thousands in fact, and most people don’t give a single damn about them. Not because we’re heartless monsters, but because we didn’t know them. Of the very few that make the nightly news, we can feel a fleeting sense of “Man, that’s horrible” when we hear the details of a tragedy, but we do not lose sleep over it. It’s natural and healthy to take news like that in stride, or else you’d live a life paralyzed by misery because, like I said, thousands of people die every single day.

The question is, what makes one death “more important” or “newsworthy” than another? The answer is simple: The degree to which Democrats can exploit it to their advantage.

It really is that simple. In the grand scheme of things, George Floyd was a junkie who resisted arrest. What happened to him shouldn’t have, but the police didn’t rob his kid of their father that day, crack did years earlier.

If any of the politicians and pundits who’d declared him to be a saint over the manner of his death had given a damn about him while he was alive, he would still be alive today. And if he were, they’d ignore him just like they did when he was.

Same goes for the latest attempt by Democrats to simultaneously be seen as caring about something they couldn't care less about and stoke racial divisions for their own benefit in the death of Jordan Neely.

Do you really think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is upset that a homeless man died while being restrained after threatening a subway car full of passengers? Tweet anything remotely negative to her, no matter how accurate, and she’s nailing herself to a cross about how everyone wants to hurt her or date her. She’s not a serious person. That she called it “murder” without knowing anything other than the skin colors of the victim and the person leftists accuse of killing him tells you everything you need to know about her and the coverage of this case.

There was another man involved in restraining Neely, and that man was black. No Democrat cares about that, it’s the “Chuck” from “Happy Days” of this story – something wildly inconvenient and useless, so ignored until it’s forgotten.

Neither one of them committed murder or were involved in anything approaching even manslaughter. By all accounts Neely was belligerent and threatening. How many times have you seen a viral video of some crazy person threatening people and thought, “Why doesn’t someone do something?” This is why – Democrats will call for your death, essentially. It doesn’t matter how many people you saved – and who cares if Neely wasn’t serious about his threats or he was only making them because he had mental health issues, mental health issues are not a get out of responsibility free card at the moment threats are being made. That someone “would never hurt anyone” is not tattooed on their forehead as they’re literally threatening to hurt people. At the moment, you have no choice but to take that person at their word.

But the deification of Neely continues. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), a noted race-baiter himself, tweeted out, “Black men seem to always be choked to death. Jordan Neely did not have to die. It’s as simple as that. Yet we have another black man publicly executed.” How many black people have been killed in Bowman’s district this year? Think it’s more than one? Think he whines like a baby hoping to raise money off those deaths or do you think he maybe goes so far as to issue a statement, sometimes, and moves on? Can’t fundraise off that.

Sorry, but Neely was not special. He’d been arrested dozens of times. Every opportunity was afforded all these race-baiting Democrats to swoop in and intervene – to offer help, if they cared. They did nothing. Forget any mental health help, Democrats don’t support that because it would consume too much of their voting base and make them vulnerable, but what about criminal justice options? You can’t tell me a guy threatening a subway car full of people to the point that many of them felt the need to subdue him didn’t have anything in his past that would have warranted incarceration or court-ordered intervention of some sort. But, just like not caring about mental health, Democrats don’t prosecute criminals anymore.

To the extent that there’s blame for Jordan Neely’s death on anyone other than Jordan Neely it splatters exclusively on the hands of the very Democrats now hoping to whip up riots and open wallets to their advantage. If they gave half a damn about Jordan Neely, George Floyd, Eric Garner, Michael Brown or any of the other occupants of the graves they fundraise off of and campaign preach on there’s a very good chance they’d all still be alive. But doing the right thing by people they profess to be the guardians of is not what Democrats do. So those graves are full, the speeches the same, and the money flows. It’s quite a racket…and it works.
